Running a Successful General Practice - Essential Skills for 2012

Mix and Match Workshops for GP's, NHS staff, Practice & Business Managers in Healthcare

19th January 2012

Worcester Rugby Club, Sixways Stadium, Worcester, WR3 8ZE

With the Health Bill on the minds of both patients and practices and huge changes expected to the way we receive our healthcare, KD Lewis is holding an event on the 19th January 2012 that brings together local companies, patients and practices and healthcare professionals with an aim of making the most of the expected changes.

Ruth Badger successful business woman and star of The Apprentice will be opening the event that will be helping Doctors practices and healthcare staff understand how to best offer healthcare services to patients in the Worcestershire and Midlands area. This all-day event will be an interactive day with many speakers assisting delegates to understand how they can embrace up and coming changes to that Health Bill.

Karen Lewis of KD Lewis works with practices across the UK to help healthcare professionals understand the importance of patient choice and how to manage ever changing expectations. Karen said “this event gives us the opportunity to help meet the needs of patients through workshops and sessions from other forward thinking healthcare professionals. It is essential that we view these changes positively and make the most of these challenges. Our clients have told us that they don’t want to spend valuable time out of the practice on training but feel it’s crucial to gather as much relevant information about how to best provide services and meet the needs of their patients. Not only do we have workshops running through out the day but we are thrilled to have the support of Ruth Badger and our main sponsor Barclays Corporate, Karen is hoping for a successful day as a percentage of proceeds from the event will also be donated to Acorns Children’s Hospice.

The event will be held at Worcester Rugby Club from 09:00 till 16:00. Tickets for Healthcare staff are available by calling 01527 882130 or mailing steve@activitygroup.co.uk or karen@kdlewis.co.uk
